You're the Sprinkles to my Ice Cream

With Valentines Day just around the corner and everyone thinking about romantic gestures, being swept off of their feet, flowers... I have one thing on my mind. Dessert. Yes, this pregnant brain will find love between her and a huge scoop of ice cream.

Usually I would be craving some amazing chocolate scoop but these changes to the palette are real people. All i want is amazing Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, maybe some pistacho but something not extremely sweet. But most importantly this place needs to be of course a nice pet friendly date.

Below our verified recommendations of where to get your Ice Cream Fix this Valentines with pup and well your other valentine.

Our Recommendations:

1. Bandido Cereal Bar

Ice cream mixed with cereal - Yes. Choose your favorite cereal mix and wait for your creation to be made... we honestly love any mix with a cinnamon flavored cereal. As for the pet friendly aspect, there are some high tops inside but if it is full this is not the best place to sit down enjoy a date. More of a Grab and Go. Positive it is in Cuidad Cayala so if the day is nice out, there is plenty of places to walk around and just enjoy your afternoon.

2. Consentidos - Taller de Helados

When you read the word "Taller" (Workshop) all you can think of is building and innovating. Well we can atest that they do not fall short of this. There is always some new or funky flavor so sorry if you are behind us in the line.... yes we want to sample everything and then choose. (Its the only way to go) For the Pet Friendly Aspect, we recommend the tables outside since in doors they are close together and better suited for your smaller breeds. Outside you and pup will be more comfortable. Our only Con is that they close around 7 pm, so even though its our favorite late night snack, make sure you get there before they close!

3. Paletta America

Even though Paletta America is not a restaurant or venue and has more of stands in malls, we mention it in the sit because of its Fontabella location (not pictured). Here there are tables, places to sit and you can enjoy your Paleta with your pup. The only downside is that there are about 2 -3 tables and they aren't the comfiest, so this isn't a place to sit down and enjoy a whole date but more of your second destination after your meal. Still, the paletas filled with joy (leche condesanda for example) and dipped in chocolate and with topping are worth it.

4. Helados Adela

Two locations, both pet friendly and great flavors. We honestly prefer the Zone 14 location because of its big open space and more tables (and for our upcoming family changes there are games for kids!) but both locations are great for pups of all sizes. Whats great about Adela is the crunch value to their ice cream. I cant get over the mixins that they bring and the topping you get (for no additional cost). Honestly, this has been my go to craving, but remember I'm super biased and hormonal right now.

5. Mercadito La Esquina

La Esquina in Zone 4, has a little bit of everything and these massive milkshakes that basically are not your dessert it's a whole meal. It is the only ice cream that I will share, because it really is too much to handle, but completely worth it.

With La Esquina we have had mixed experiences with the pet friendly aspect, the staff are friendly, there are a lot of tables which are spaced adequately, but it gets very busy. When it is very busy, since pup is a larger breed, there has been some push back from other clients and we have had some uncomfortable situations. Our advice to avoid this is to try to get a table up front by where the milk shakes are and maybe try some of their less transited times, especially if you have a bigger breed like we do)
